Our Passion

Everyone at Senior Home Care & Alzheimer's Solutions is committed to helping seniors remain in the safety and security of their own homes as long as possible. Sometimes that is accomplished by providing assistance with every day tasks for seniors that just can't do it all any longer. And other times, it is accomplished by supporting families through skilled techniques for seniors suffering with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Locally-owned Provider

Sheila Ohstrom is the Founder, Owner and President of Senior Home Care & Alzheimer's Solutions. She started the company as Senior Home Care Solutions in 2010 after discovering the gap in good, reliable care while dealing with care needs of her own family and friends.  Eventually, she added Alzheimer's Solutions after seeing an increasing need for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.  

Her company has grown to almost 50 part-time and full-time caregivers serving the Central New York area.  All staff are carefully selected, ensuring they demonstrate compassion and concern for the seniors they will be working for.  And even though we work with many seniors without dementia, all our staff is trained in dementia support techniques.
